Can Rabbits Eat Grapes

Grapes are delicious I’m sure you will agree. They taste great picked off the vine, in drinks, juice, jams, etc.

While you may enjoy eating grapes, does this mean can rabbits eat grapes?

Well, they can eat grapes and it’s not going to be a serious problem if they nibble a few. I wouldn’t recommend allowing your bunnies to eat grapes however. They are high in sugars, which is one of the sure ways to give your rabbit some digestive problems, and probably diarrhea.

This is the problem with a lot of fruits, they are ok but can cause an upset stomach. I always recommend avoiding giving them these foods altogether therefore.

Rabbits need a good balance of Timothy hay and formulated pellets to make up most of their diet. Along with fresh water being available at all times. All other foods should be seen as treats to give them on occasion to give their diet some variation.

Always put your rabbit’s health first. If you’re not sure about any foods don’t give it to them to be on the safe side. Better safe than sorry, and you can avoid your bunny having a poorly tummy.
