Can Rabbits Eat Ginger and Ginger Roots

Can rabbits eat ginger and ginger roots without getting sick?

They can do so yes, but it’s not the best food to be giving your pets and there are some plants that look similar to ginger that are toxic. So to stay on the safe side I wouldn’t give them any form of ginger, ginger roots, the leaves from ginger plants, or anything else related to ginger!

If you’re looking for different types of food and treats to give to your bunnies then give them some slices of fruits as a treat. Fruits are high in sugar however, so I’d recommend no more than once a week as a compliment to their existing diet.

A healthy rabbit needs a lot of fiber in their diet to keep their digestive system operating well. They get this mostly from Timothy hay. As well as eating pellets and some fresh vegetables to round out their diet. Keep the fresh water coming too and you’ll have a healthy and happy bunny.
