Believe it or not this is what someone asked me recently, can rabbits eat canned peaches? On one hand, to answer this I need to see the exact can of peaches to see what kind they are. Some are kept in fresh water, some are in syrup, some are dry, etc. But it’s pretty safe to say that you shouldn’t be feeding your rabbit canned peaches.
Most fruits are too high in sugar for rabbits and can cause some digestive and health problems. Peaches are naturally high in sugar, and being stored in a can they are likely to be much higher in sugar and it’s not the same as fresh fruit.
A rabbit’s diet comprises of mostly Timothy hay and pellets. Of course they need fresh water too, and you can supplement them with a cup of fresh vegetables and some fruits no rare occasions as a treat.
Rabbits are not the kinds of pet that can eat lots of treats and just get a little fat. Their digestive systems are fragile and you can do them some serious harm by giving them too many treats. Put their health first, a healthy bunny is a happy bunny.
