Can rabbits eat Brussel sprouts? Yes they can, sprouts are not harmful to them in any way. However, you can only feed them a limited amount of vegetables and greens.
As a rule of thumb the amount of non-leafy greens you feed your bunnies should not exceed 15% of their overall diet. Obviously that’s hard to get exactly right, so just use your best judgement. Any more than this and they can experience upset tummies, which isn’t pleasant for anyone!
Rabbits need to eat a lot of good quality hay. This keeps their digestive system operating well and keeps them healthy. You should also be feeding them formulated pellets and fresh vegetables to cover their other nutrition needs.
When you are introducing new foods do so one at a time and in small amounts. Rabbits have complex and often sensitive digestive systems, you never know if a certain vegetable is not going to agree with a certain little furry friend.
If you notice anything out of the ordinary withdraw the vegetable right away and give them a couple of days to recover while you keep an eye them to make sure they are back to 100%.
